This is probably one of my favourite face masks that i repurchase and always have in my bathroom.

Una Brennan Fask Mask

If your skin is dry or dehydrated, this mask will boost moisture levels and quench thirsty skin in five minutes leaving your skin feeling replenished and soothed. It contains some great ingredients including vitamin E, white willow extract, urea and marshmallow extract.

This mask is suitable for even the most sensitive skins. I can testify to this as i used it liberally post-babies during my most dry and blotchy sensitive skin phase.

It has a thick creamy white opaque consistency and a has bit of an ‘old lady’ musty rose scent which isn’t everybody’s cup of tea. It is recommended to use the mask once or twice a week on a thoroughly cleansed face and neck, leave for five minutes and rise with lukewarm water.

If your skin is quite dry, dehydrated or sensitized i would recommend applying a thick layer before bed and leaving it overnight to for maximum benefits. It is one of those creamy masks that sinks into the skin so it won’t rub off on your pillows. You will wake up with your skin feeling plumper, nourished and more radiant.

Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask is €11.99, a really great price point for such a good product. I would certainly pay double that and the tube lasts for ages.

Aveda Tourmaline-Charged Exfoliating Cleanser. This is great product for time-poor ladies and busy mums. I adore this product. I am always looking to cut down on the number of steps in my daily routine and this is perfect as it’s like a cleanser/face wash/exfoliator all in one, perfect to use in the shower!

Aveda Tourmaline-Charged Exfoliating Cleanser daily cleanser with jojoba exfoliating beads helps increase cell turnover and remove impurities. It has a lovely creamy consistency that smells of mangos.

It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean, refreshed and nourished. I’ll admit it is a little pricey at €31.30 but the tube I have at the moment has lasted nearly 3 months, a little goes a long way with this cleanser.

Have you tried it? What did you think? What are your hero time-saving products? Let me know in the comments.

It’s a funny old time of year. One minute it’s freezing and dry, the next it’s wet and windy. Couple this with central heating and you’ve got a face like the Grinch. This day last week i had grinch-face, dry and red patches itchy and flaky. When your skin is like that, no amount of make-up is going to cover it up.

If your skin is suffering like this the gentle routine below should really help and repair. I started this exact routine last Friday and my skin was much better and more comfortable withing 48 hours and my make-up is sitting right again.

  • Nuxe, Micellar water cleansing water  100ml €10.15 Medipharm
  • Nuxe, gentle exfoliating gel 75ml €17.95 Medipharm
  • La Roche Posay, Hydraphase Intense eyes, 15mil €17.99 Boots
  • La Roche Posay, Cicaplast Baume B5, 40ml €8.95 Boots
  • Super Facialist by Una Brennan, Rose Hydrate Moisture Mask 125ml €11.99 Boots (you can leave this on your face in a thick layer overnight)

Other things that help  if your skin is dry and dehydrated and reactive at the moment:

  • drink lots more water
  •  little bowls of water near heaters to add moisture back into the air
  •  take a fish oil supplement
