I love a hearty slow cooked stew in the winter months. This is my version of Delia Smith’s recipe that i have been making for years. I can’t find the exact recipe online to link it but the original recipe is in the Complete Cookery course book.

It’s one that kids will eat too which is an added bonus. Serve with baked potato or mash and steamed broccoli and you have a great nutritious meal. This freezes really well  too. I often serve this when friends and family come over for dinner and it always goes down well.  Continue reading →

I make a batch of it and freeze it in little containers ready to defrost quickly in the microwave. Serve with pasta and you have a healthy dinner for them in the time it takes to make the pasta. batch cooking, chicken and brocoli bake, family dinners, freezer friendly

It’s an oldy but a goody. This is a fail safe recipe for me and i make it at least every second week because everyone in the house will eat it and it freezes brilliantly. This is also a handy dish to use up leftover chicken. Here is my version, i hope you enjoy.
