Hiding  under-eye dark circles is a lifelong obsession of mine. Sadly mine are hereditary and no amount of sleep and hydration helps me from looking like the a zombie.

After reading many reviews i started to use the MAC pro longwear concealer a couple of months ago and i am really impressed. I had a baby 11 weeks ago so sleep deprivation stopped my from writing about this sooner.

It comes in a pump. The texture is similar to a liquid foundation. I opt for NW20 which is my MAC shade. If you are not familiar with MAC products, make sure to ask the salesperson for guidance. It is one of the many things i like about buying MAC products is that all the sales assistants are make up artists and really know their stuff and are always very knowledgeable about the products.

The coverage is full and i am finding it really good for hiding my bad dark circles which happen to be particularly bad at the moment due to the aforementioned new baby in the house. The application is really good using fingers and as a mum of three i don’t have lots of time to be messing around with make-up brushes in the morning. It lasts really well all day  once you set it with translucent powder, it doesn’t settle into fine lines, travel or ball. The formula is brightening too which is very important to highlight and bounce light off the area.

My only criticism of it is the pump, it dispenses too much product each time so there is some wastage. This is a heavy duty under-eye concealer for those with bad dark circles. If you don’t have bad eye circles, you probably don’t need it and could get away with a good highlighing/brightening pen such as YSL Touche Eclat and MAC Prep + Prime highlighter pen.

This concealer costs around €23.50 and represents good value for 9ml i think, a little goes a very long way!

Have you tried it? What are your favourite concealers for dark circles?

Happy masking,
