Brrr….it’s freezing out and it looks like we are in for a mixed bag weather wise this weekend. Cold and dry on Saturday; wet and windy on Sunday. Here are 5 indoor and outdoor activities to keep the little ones entertained this weekend
Dun Laoghaire Pier. Nothing beats a walk/scoot along the pier to see the boats. Afterwards, there is the fantastic farmers market in the peoples park as well as a playground and a plethora of family friend eateries along the sea front.
Cinema.Movies at Dundrum and Swords have kids clubs on Saturday and Sunday mornings. There is always a great selection of kids movies to choose from for children of all ages. Ticket price is just €3.50 for a 2D movie and €4.30 for a 3D movie and Kids Combos are available from €3.50. See here for Dundrum listings and here Swords listings this weekend.
Áras an Uachtaráin. For a bit of culture or for older children, there is a free tour of the Áras in the Phoenix Park on Saturday mornings at 10:15am http://www.president.ie/
Butlers Chocolate Experience. A tour of the Butlers Chocolate factory in Clonshaugh Business Park, Dublin 17 is a great day out for kids and adults alike. This is a very popular tour and you must book in advance http://www.butlerschocolates.com/
Dublin’s Children’s Museum Imaginosity. Imaginosity in Sandyford is a child-centred creative, educational and interactive space for children under 9-years of age and their families. It’s a magical place and worth a visit. It’s busy at weekends so you must book in advance http://www.imaginosity.ie/
