It looks like we are in for a cold but happily dry and bright weekend. Great weather to get out and about and tire out the kiddies. Here are some ideas for five free things to do in Dublin this weekend

  • Family workshop at the National Gallery Merrion Square

Saturday Feb 7th 15:00- 16:00. ‘Famous Faces’ with Niamh Aherne. Admission free, no booking required. Places are limited, so arrive early to avoid disappointment. Further information:  http://bit.ly/1zfpXtj

  • Guided Tours of the Botanic Gardens

Every Sunday 12:00 – 14:30. Please see here for more info: http://bit.ly/1DMxZhA

  • Corkagh Park pet farm Clondalkin

The Pet Farm located near the visitor centre and rose garden in Corkagh Park has an aviary and a range of farm animals and pets. Opening Hours daily 10.45am – 13.00pm and 14.00pm – 16.30pm Further infomation: http://bit.ly/1zo88wJ

  • Your local library

Give your local library a call and see what they have on. You would be surprised that they often hold free art workshops and storytelling for children at the weekend. Even if they don’t have an event planned this weekend, Children love going to library and picking out books to borrow.

  • Marlay Park Rathfarmham

Marlay park is a great spot with two playgrounds, duck ponds, dog park, coffee shop and weekend farmers markets . Further information: http://bit.ly/1Ih8Bah

Have a great weekend everyone,
